One Day At A Time~~~Sweet Jesus~~~

Charoltte and Ginger~~~ Thank You so much for hosting this special Sunday event for us to share with each other Christ's Abiding Love,, and His Awesome Presence..

My thoughts for this day turned to a song my Daddy did soooo LOVE in the early
1980's its one he played everyday after he got home from work and Mom was still at work.. He died in 1984 .. I still to this day wonder if he ever did ask Jesus into his heart... But way back then I never did ask him the MOST important question I could have ever asked him,, was if he had... Its something I do regret now,, but we had no clue he was going to die..
Anyway Sweet Sisters in Christ,, there is no excuse good enough for any of us not too in my mind,, we must share Jesus with as many as we can ...

He loved Christie Lane Hymns...

I'm only human, I'm just a woman.
Help me believe in what I could be
And all that I am.
Show me the stairway, I have to climb.
Lord for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

Chorus:
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you.
Just give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do.
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord help me today, show me the way
One day at a time.

Do you remember, when you walked among men?
Well Jesus you know if you're looking below
It's worse now, than then.
Cheating and stealing, violence and crime
So for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

A PRAYER for all of us ~~~ Guide us Daily LORD with Your Light~ On Your true path~
That tales us only to You Jesus~~~ Amen and Amen

My Love to each one of you and THANKS soooooo much from my heart to yours for your visit today~~~Hugs Dena

  3. I love that song too! They generally play it on the Christian program on the local radio station as I drive to church each Sunday.

Have a wonderful day and if you get a chance, stop by my blog today and look at the Christian art that my readers shared since my post last Sunday!

  8. Love this song! Thanks for your encouragement to talk to others about Jesus. We DO know they are going to die. And since we do not know when we need to share Christ with as many as we can. There is an urgency. Heb. 9:27 Thank you for this good post.

  10. I love this song too. I can really identify with what you said about asking your Dad if he had asked Jesus into his heart. I wish I could go back and ask my Dad the same question. Oh, I tried to get him to go to church many many times, and he wasn't interested. Now I wish I had spent more time talking more to him about Jesus and not just how important church was. Everyone has regrets. Maybe this post will remind others to share their faith while they can.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte

  11. Oh my gosh, what a beautiful post and beautiful song...I am so sorry that you lost your dad...You won't believe it...I lost my dad in 1984 too...We've all missed him so much.

I have a feeling that your father is sitting in heaven right next to Jesus...It sounds to me like he lived radiantly in his heart...

    Bless you, dear Dena,
